OVERVIEW
Chef Richard Sandoval is a global pioneer in contemporary Latin cuisine. His career as a chef, restaurateur and entrepreneur also includes serving as a television personality, cookbook author, brand ambassador and philanthropist. He is internationally acclaimed for his innovative approach in combining Latin ingredients with modern culinary techniques to create award-winning flavors that span over 60 locations and 4 continents.
EDUCATION
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Sandoval has earned manyaccolades over the course of his career including Mexico's “National Toque d ’Oro,” Bon Appetit’s “Restauranteur of the Year,” Cordon d'Or’s “Restauranteur of the Year”, one of The Inc Magazine’s 10 Most Inspiring Business Leaders, a James Beard Semi-Finalist for “Outstanding Restaurateur” and received an Honorary Doctorate for Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University.

Isabella Sandoval is a strategic operator and next-generation leader helping shape the future of global hospitality. A Cornell University graduate with a sharp eye for operations and front-of-house excellence, Isabella has been immersed in the industry since childhood. Today, she plays a key role in modernizing Richard Sandoval Hospitality through thoughtful leadership, digital transformation, and a focus on social impact. She leads the company’s ESG initiatives, including the award-winning Viva Abejas sustainability program and Old Ways New Hands, a mentorship platform for emerging culinary talent. With a vision grounded in purpose and performance, Isabella is redefining what it means to lead in hospitality.

Giancarlo Sandoval is a rising culinary force with a global perspective and an instinct for innovation. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and currently sous chef at the acclaimed tán in New York City, Giancarlo honed his craft under industry legends like Jean-Georges. As the son of Chef Richard Sandoval, Giancarlo brings both reverence for heritage and a drive to modernize the Latin dining experience.
Whether developing avant-garde tasting kitchens or collaborating at international food festivals, he blends technical precision with bold creativity. Now stepping into leadership within Richard Sandoval Hospitality, Giancarlo is focused on evolving the group’s culinary identity while building a legacy all his own.
